A New Orleans native, Jim graduated with a BA in Theatre from Tulane University and afterward lived in New Orleans for 10 years working in theatre, film and television productions of all sizes. After becoming a “big fish in a little pond” Jim moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and has since been working in film and TV extensively. He has appeared on the critically acclaimed shows The West Wing, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Grey’s Anatomy and Brothers and Sister, to name a few, and has had the good fortune to work with such respected actors as Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper, Eddie Izzard, Gary Cole, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Craig T. Nelson, and most recently Andre Braugher.

Jim has also passed his along his experiences to his fellow actors. He taught on-camera acting/auditioning technique at the Margie Haber Studio for 7 years and currently teaches his own classes, helping his students and private coaching clients to achieve their dreams!
